Many people might start a weight management program out of guilt, shame and peer pressure, this might not be the most sustainable way. We stick to a diet, and once we shed the weight, we go back to our lifestyle prior to the program; the lifestyle that causes our weight gain. This is why we see our weight fluctuating. Then we start the cycle again. Dieting and further screwing up the hormones and metabolism. We find it harder to lose weight.

I make many changes in my life, from a meat lover to a vegetarian, from a boyish kid to a belly dancer and back to a sporty girl, from an aspiring corporate worker to a freelancer, from a toe-the-line kid to an unconventional adult.
I realize the best way to make changes is through a point of self-acceptance. Accepting our current stage in our life, making small plans along the way and dealing with adversities positively. I learn that our current state need not be a constant battle with our selves but they could serve as a critical point of reflection for us to grow.
